PG- Hiring Obsolete

Paul Graham says Hiring is Obsolete:

If you try to start a startup right out of college and it tanks, you’ll end up at 23 broke and a lot smarter. Which, if you think about it, is roughly what you hope to get from a graduate program.

Hmm, so what if I go to grad school AND start a startup? Broker and smarter? Where do I sign up?

    Maybe you’d end up where Alex and Dennis of DodgeBall are: in the Google Cool Kids Club.

    Of course, we can’t all have Clay Shirky as our graduate school advisors.

    This conversation has reminded me of a track on Kanye West’s latest album, The College Dropout:

    Ok, instead of Clay Shirky, you’ve now got Dave Sifry, Tantek Çelik, and the rest of the Technorati gang as advisors. I’d say you’re doing extremely well. 8^)
