		<description>I definitely agree. That's part of why I'm in grad school now, is because I felt like my undergrad was too easy- I was never really challenged (except with having the discipline to get busy-work done).</description>

American students have a drastically under-informed view of how easy their lives are and how wealthy they are compared to the rest of the world (and human history, for that).  I'm willing to bet your prof personally has seen or experienced *real* privation, hardship, and suffering.
